HiveLive news #1: your fortnightly dose of HiveLive
Just before 2024, I wanted to take a moment to clarify some things with you about HiveLive Universe. Why don't create a small "rendez-vous" with you and talk about progress of all my projects? That's what you read right now!
Progress of the proposal
For those who don't know, I create a proposal to be funded next 6 months to further develop all my Hive projects (and more). You have already impress me: we are at more than 25%! Thank you so much for your support!
If you don't already support me and want to do, it's really simple:
- Connect to PeakD or Ecency
- Follow the link to my proposal: Peakd proposal #289 / Ecency proposal #289
- Just click on the "Support now" button
Now, let's dive into the latest news about projects
LiveCoding session
I use the end of 2023 to start a LiveCoding session on Youtube Live. At this time, it mostly some tests but the next ones will be great. You can talk with me, listen music, and Hive coding !
Next steps will be to create some tutorials with you and also bring the session on VIMM and Twitch (multi-streaming). Let me know what do you want in comments.
If you don't want to miss that, just connect to the HiveLiveUniverse channel on Youtube and don't forget to subscribe. I'm going to do live sessions once or twice a week.
(I promise, the blinking bug of my last live is totally fixed, sorry for that)
TokenDistrib
The last LiveCoding was made far in the night. I can't sleep so I'd just turn on my computer, and I had take one hour for TokenDistrib debug.
Three bug were fixed :
- Token name sorting (no more time to search a token, just follow the alphabet)
- Some Zero balances tokens was displayed. They're been removed!
- When you have a very low percent share (>0.01 amount), there is no longer any rounding on the final amount.
You can test that on TokenDistrib and show the open-source code on the official GitHub repository
HiveStream
I've already started the code refactor. HiveStream was a "quick and dirty" project when it started. Hive need a great streamer tool to promote Hive on external streaming platforms (like Twitch or Youtube) and onboard new users. that's the biggest reason why I constantly improving HiveStream.
Now, I've made many improvements about code quality to bring more stability but also to have a great code when the code will become open-source.
SuperHive
I also worked on the fully Hive-based blog engine called SuperHive.
At this time, I've nothing to show but the hosted version will be in a beta version in the really near future.
What I mean when I say "Hosted version"? It's really simple: in the future, you will be able to go to SuperHive website, login, and you'll have your personal blog! Really simple, isn't it?
Just after the publication of this blog, I'm going back to work on SuperHive.
Take part in my progress
When I made my proposal, I said that :
I want to go further and add a transparency layer. When the code is Open, it's a great start but why not apply the open-source philosophy to other aspects? I want to start with my roadmap. Everything I will make will have more transparency about its progress.
The first thing you can already see is my tasks list. You can follow all I do, in real time, with GitHub project . But it's not over!
Each project have a GitHub repository. If you find something to improve/fix, just go to my GitHub repositories, click on the project you want, click on the Issues tab, and click on "New issue" to add a new one (don't forget the tags).
Even my tasks list is open-source and you can contribute to it !
I hope you enjoyed this first HiveLive news post. Please feel free to leave your feedback or ideas for improvement, the comments section is open!
If you like my work, don't forget to support my proposal (on PeakD or Ecency). It's really important for me.Your support will enable me to continue creating Hive projects, code and content.
Thank you very much for all. Thank you for your continued support and for making HiveLive Universe a reality. Happy holiday season and Happy new year! See you in 2024 ;)
